Is there a treatment for Sesame Seed Allergy?

The food industry makes use of sesame seeds extensively. Sesame seeds can cause a severe allergic reaction to many people.

This has been a major cause for some who eat these types of foods to become affected without even knowing what it is in the food that is giving them a reaction.

For most, the reaction of consuming sesame, or applying a form of it on the skin as with cosmetics can result in hives, swelling, asthma, rash, hay fever, and nasal congestion.

If not taken seriously for some, this can lead to other health issues as well. For most people suffering from a sesame allergy, they don’t even realize that this is the cause of their debilitation.

This is because it can be hard to make a direct connection between a food or a makeup use which are causing the symptoms, especially if there is a lapse between the time that the symptom is felt.

Because there is a close connection with peanuts, most people do not realize that they also may develop an allergy to peanuts as well in the future. Rye and kiwi along with various treenut allergens can also be a future issue for allergy sufferers. Other nuts which also may be of concern include walnut, hazelnut, and macadamia nuts also.

Treatment for sesame allergies

Obviously the best treatment is abstinence for those suffering from a sesame allergy. Try to avoid certain types of foods which you know will cause you pain and issues later. Also make an effort to avoid other nuts which may cause the same problems and see an allergy doctor to see to what degree the allergy is fueled in your own personal case.
